Gifted an ARC for an honest review……
Some reviews are harder to write than others and this is certainly one….. I really wanted to like this book. it had an interesting premise, she was a bad girl, he was the good guy. Not just good, but Army Ranger Good!! Maybe I’m a bit prejudice because I have a Ranger in my immediate family and they don’t get enough attention for their bravery. So, here lies the problem, Brayson sometimes comes across as an idiot, no one would go into those situations that unprepared. Gendy often was a condescending bitch. The story lines at times became so convoluted with too much stuff going on. I felt there were times this became a hot mess. I'm disappointed to say the least, and hope to give M.E. a second chance.
Jam packed with rival biker gangs, biker chicks...now add Army Ranger Brayson Crain. Hardened Brayson has seen it all overseas in the military. Now his new girlfriend, biker chick Gendy Godcheaux is pregnant with an abusive biker's child. Gendy is determined leave the gang to protect her unborn child and Brayson is just the man to help her.

Wow! What a rush! Really enjoyed this story between Gendy and Brayson! This Bad GIRL gets saved by the handsome, drop dead gorgeous Army boy and he ends up going into battle just for her and her baby. I really felt through the story how much he cares for her and wanting to make sure she knows what real love is, not what she knows from her past.
Looking for a love story with a strong woman and beautiful man, then this is the story for you.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. While I kind of liked the premise of the story, I found it to be a bit far fetched and unrealistic. I know it is fiction. I found it hard to believe that any Army Ranger would act as the two did in this book. I liked that he wanted to help a girl out , but to think that he would just jump in and not think about the consequences of tangling with a biker who beat up on a girl and was a drug dealer is unrealistic. He was an officer as well who had to plan out attacks and be in charge of his men. I'll read another of M.E.'s books and giver her another chance.
I received an ARC of this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book. This is my honest review. Whilst I found the book to be violent and somewhat disturbing, I could nevertheless not put it down, so it is therefore cleverly written. Gendy fell pregnant at a time when she meant to tell her biker boyfriend that she not longer wished to have a relationship with him, and found herself having to make choices to protect both herself and her baby.
When Gendy found herself under threat, Brayson (an Army Ranger) sailed in to the rescue, but instead of solving the problem, created a whole new set of difficulties.
A Ranger's Pledge gives in-depth insights into the biker gang lifestyle, with all the violence and degradation one finds in this alternative lifestyle. A good plot, but disturbing read.
I really loved this story, and so many things about it! Especially the fact that things were flipped where the 'bad boy' was actually the girl, and how Gendy was a biker chick. That alone drew my interest into the book and was a nice change of pace. I loved that Brayson was a good guy, and he was the perfect match for Gendy, and it was very interesting seeing how they dealt with their situation, and work towards their HEA. No spoilers, but I was happy with how things worked out for them, and thought their HEA was really cute. I also hope that we get to see Golden get his own story in the future. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So here's my honest review. I really wanted to like this story. The premise was great - a biker chick wanting to get out of the life and realizing she's pregnant & an Army Ranger on leave who is apparently a pretty Adonis. It could have gone much better.
I won't give anything away, but I just couldn't feel any empathy for either character. And if I don't feel anything for them, then I don't really care what happens. Plus there was so many conveluted plot lines, I found myself rolling my eyes. Oh, and all the different descriptions of body parts, don't get me started on rolling eyes and talking to the book "Come on, really?"
This book needed more feeling with the characters than all the different plots that just kept going, one after the other. Sorry, but that's my opinion. I would love to give M.E. Sloan another try.
