This was an unexpected pleasure. I have read several of Scott's books on fitness and find myself in general agreement with his principals of training for us oldsters. In this book, he goes a step further and argues that taking on life after 50 requires mental and spiritual adjustments as well. This is an excellent continuation of the topics explored in Coach Abel's "Physique After 50".
While "PA50" serves as more of a "what" to do, this volume gets into the essential mindset and psychology of how to actually get the work done.
Like all of Scott's work, the content is delivered in a concise and easy to take in manner.
For anyone who wants to truly improve their fitness, health and overall approach to life, this is an essential read.
Coach Abel is the leader in research based nutrition. I have most of his books and can’t read them fast enough. This is real stuff people!
This book has been a great addition to Physique After 50. This one goes more aspects that are not directly connected to working out... more life application. Very good read and very helpful to me personally.
